With more and more mixed quality hair products being marketed in some case endorsed by celebrities how can we as stylists get clients back into the salon.

How can we convince the client that over the counter hair colour, straitening relaxers are not always all they are marketed to be be it in quality or direction for application!

First and foremost Service. Consultation. Educated sales.

Things that a box hair colour cannot advise on help you with! Yes. The consultation. The advise. Sadly the young person in the chemist or drug store cannot give you sound professional advise on switching colour over processing condition. choice of colour.

Our mission as stylist’s is to actively communicate in an honest way the positive of salon service. The quick fix short sighted results that can arise from. Applying over the counter colour or other products such as some of the much promoted Keratin Relaxing products.

Always remember that claims made about products are just the start. It’s easy to make claims. Question. How and Why . There is nearly alway a compromise. So it’s about balance the advantages and the disadvantages. Sadly some manufacturing companies distributors and sales driven people are not always fully transparent about the claims they make.
